28 Years Of SRK: Shah Rukh Khan Celebrates By Sharing Drop-Dead Gorgeous Picture & ‘Thank You’ Post On Social Media

The King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, completed 28 years in Bollywood on June 25. In another word, one can say that he has succeeded in ruling the empire of Bollywood for nearly three decades now.

The journey to superstardom for SRK started when he featured in a few TV shows like Fauji, Circus, and Wagle Ki Duniya in the late 1980s. The then-rookie eventually made his way to the film industry as well - he debuted in the Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti starrer 1992’s hit movie Deewana as a second lead actor.

What followed after that for Khan was a handful of big actors’ rejected ‘negative’ roles. The roles, however, turned out to be gold for the actor. In the next few years, he was famous as well as loved for his portrayal of anti-hero roles. The films include Yash Chopra’s Darr (1993), Abbas Mustan’s Baazigar (1993), and Madhuri Dixit starrer Anzaam (1994).

The actor who was initially successful in playing anti-hero roles turned his ways towards more mainstream, romantic, and heroic roles. In that process, he worked in movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Pardes (1997), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998).

On 25 June, as Shah Rukh Khan completed his 28 years in Bollywood, his fans (referred to as SRKians) also trended various hashtags on Twitter, including #28GoldenYearsOfSRK and #SRK28.

Hence, SRKians were also expecting something back from their King Khan.

Living up to SRKians’ expectations, Shah Rukh Khan shared a heartfelt post on his social media (a couple of days after the trend) on Sunday, June 28. Firstly, he brought up the talks of how his acting aspiration, surprisingly, turned into his profession.

He simultaneously thanked his fans, admirers as well as every helping hands that came forward during his long journey. Plus, he also expressed his gratitude to the audiences for allowing him to entertain them.

In the end, just like a 20-year-old, SRK manifested his enthusiasm to put up great shows for many more years too.

His words, “Don’t know when my passion became my purpose and then turned into my profession. Thank u all for so many years of allowing me to entertain you. More than my professionalism I believe my passionalism will see me through many more years of service to all of you.”

Along with the heartfelt message, Shah Rukh Khan also shared a drop-dead gorgeous picture of him, captured by his beloved wife Gauri Khan. “28 years and counting... and thank u @gaurikhan for capturing this moment,” SRK posted.

The upcoming acting project of Khan is not made official yet, although numerous speculations are being made around what he will be doing next. Hopefully, he will soon announce his ‘next’ and entertain his fans again as he promised in his latest tweet.
