I AM 18

It's obviously sad losing childhood and the memories of those times. But growing too feels great. I'm 18 now, and I feel so good and still fresh. Last week I celebrated my birthday, and it was such a wonderful time.

On the 8th of March, in the midnight, I received a text from my friend Sarjeev and an early morning call from my brother, Barun, wishing a beautiful life ahead. Followed by them were many many friends wishing me the best. I was so happy & blessed. As I reached college, I received a warm love from my classmates. I was more pleased when a couple of my favorite teachers wished me as well.

After college, there was something that I had planned for my best ones. Nine of us: Sarjeev, Sanju, Kushal, Sunaina, Swastika de, Aakriti, Muskan and Alisha including me, enjoyed the evening.

It always feels great to cut a birthday cake. A glass of wine, delicious foods, pizza, and the selfies got the celebration going. I was watching everyone loving the day, and they were so loving and caring. "Oh yeah! I got the best friends, "I felt.

In the end, my face was full of cake - thanks to Sunaina for that. And this end was not the end; the best was yet to come. We enjoyed dancing as we were nearing to move from there. As no one was a perfect dancer but who cares. We danced.

On reaching home, I received a birthday gift from my sisters. The night was still on and the celebration too. To accompany us was a glass of wine, chicken, snacks, and late-night loud music which got our feet moving. A great session of food and dance and then the lovely bed.

Remembering that last week, I feel so glad. I would call my friends Perfecto to make me feel proud of being buddies with them. Thank you all for wishing & love you all.
